The Southwest Fort Bend Economic Development District may provide, design, construct, acquire, improve, relocate, operate, maintain, or finance an improvement project or service using any money available to the district, or contract with a governmental or private entity to provide, design, construct, acquire, improve, relocate, operate, maintain, or finance an improvement project or service.

The Southwest Fort Bend Economic Development District will offer the strategic framework to businesses aiming to integrate sustainable practices into their operations. We cover policy development, comprehensive assessment, cost-saving strategies, and expert recommendations.

Our strategic plans is your pathway to integrating eco-friendly practices into your core business strategy, diversifying the economy, eliminating unemployment and underemployment, and developing and/or expanding transportation and commerce through four (4) strategic initiatives:

The District may establish and provide for the administration of programs to promote state and local economic development and to stimulate business development and commercial activity in the District, including programs to:

  • Make loans and grants of public money; and
  • Provide district personnel and services
  • Create economic development programs
  • Support end-to-end project management and maintenance
